Who is responsible
Lanka Wanderlust is an independent, pre-launch travel information and planning project based at Beach Road, Bentota, Sri Lanka. It is not yet a registered business. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to info@lankawanderlust.com. The responsible individual’s full legal identity will be published before any commercial launch.
Information we collect
When you use the contact or trip-planning forms, we process the information you provide, including your name, email address, optional phone number, travel dates and preferences, traveller numbers and message. We also process limited request metadata needed to operate and protect the forms from abuse.
Purpose and legal basis
We use the information to respond to your voluntary inquiry, prepare a non-binding travel proposal, maintain the security of the service and comply with applicable law. Where the GDPR applies, processing is based on steps taken at your request before a possible contract, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the website, and consent where it is specifically requested.
Service providers and international transfers
Inquiry records are stored with Supabase and notification emails are sent through Web3Forms. Hosting is provided through Vercel. These providers may process data in other countries under their applicable contractual and data-protection safeguards. We do not sell personal information.
Retention
Inquiry records are normally kept for no longer than 24 months after the last communication. Information may be retained longer where reasonably necessary for a later agreement, legal obligation or dispute.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your information, object to processing, or withdraw consent for future processing. Contact info@lankawanderlust.com. You may also complain to the data-protection authority that applies to you.
Analytics, cookies and local storage
The website does not require an advertising account. If optional analytics is enabled, the site may process limited traffic information. Browser storage may be used for technical preferences such as language. You can clear browser data using your browser settings.
No automated decisions
Inquiry information is reviewed for the purpose of preparing a response. The website does not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely through automated processing.
