About Delft Island
Known locally as Neduntheevu, Delft Island feels like a different country. It is a flat, coral-based island where the walls are made of dried coral. It is home to wild horses left behind by the Portuguese, a giant Baobab tree planted by Arab traders, and the ruins of a Dutch fort. It is the furthest point of the northern frontier.
