The Seven Statues
A group of seven figures centered around the massive Buddha.
Buduruwagala means "The Rock of Buddhist Sculptures." Carved into a massive cliff face in the middle of a peaceful forest, the central Buddha statue stands at 51 feet, making it the tallest on the island. The carvings belong to the Mahayana school of thought and still show traces of their original bright orange stucco.
